
The June examinations, which were suspended two years ago as part of a COVID-19 control strategy in schools, are now scheduled to take place, according to the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC).
The reinstatement of the June exams was confirmed by ZIMSEC spokesperson Ms. Nicky Dlamini, who also said that the authorities had completed their consultations to determine the benefits of resuming the exams. In an interview with Sunday News, she stated:
Yes, the Zimsec June examinations are back, and registration is underway. The fees have not changed they remain the same as last year. Government is subsidizing examination fees for all public schools while private schools remain unsubsidized.
Fees per Subject for O-Level Exams:
i). Learners in public schools – US$11,
ii). Private candidates and those in private schools – US$24
Fees per Subject for Advanced level:
a). Public schools – US$22
b). Private candidates and those in private schools – US$48 per subject.
