The Advanced Level (A’ Level) results for November 2020 have been published by the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC).
In a statement issued on Thursday, April 22, 2021, ZIMSEC stated that the pass rate had decreased by 2.1 percent from the previous year, with the decrease being due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, which disrupted learning.

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council Board and Management are pleased to inform the nation of the release of the results of the ZIMSEC Advanced Level! examinations that were written from December 2020 to January 2021. Heads of Examination Centres will be able to collect the results for their respective schools/centres from the ZIMSEC Regional Offices starting Friday, 23 April 2021. The results will also be accessible online to candidates who sat for the examinations as well as to authorized personnel through the ZIMSEC portal available at www.zimsec.co.zw in the morning of Friday, 23 April 2021. Candidates are advised to click on their respective region where they will be redirected to the portal on which they can access their results. Please take note that this portal will be open for 5 days only.
The number of candidates that wrote two or more subjects in the November 2020 examinations was 49 153. Out of this number 39 802 obtained Grade E or better in two or more subjects, translating to 81% pass rate.
Meanwhile 2020 ‘O’ Level candidates are still waiting for the release of their results, traditionally its usually a few weeks after the release of the ‘A’ Level results.
